Ashley grew up on a small hobby farm in central Minnesota, where she raised pigs, horses, chickens, pheasants, rabbits, and even a goat. Her early experiences with animal care solidified her career choice early on—veterinary medicine has always been Ashley’s calling!

Before starting her senior year of high school, Ashley enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at the Minnesota School of Business. Taking night classes and working around her school and job schedule, Ashley graduated in 2008 and moved to the metro to begin using her degree.

As a Tech, Ashley is especially fond of new puppy and kitten visits—she feels that she can never get enough snuggles! She also likes assisting with surgeries, performing dental cleanings, and learning new things.

Ashley and her fiancé, Greg, reside in the north metro suburbs. They share their home with Ashley’s cat, Mocha, a Siamese who has been with Ashley since she was a senior in high school.

When she has the time, Ashely enjoys camping and biking with Greg. In recent years, she’s discovered her passion for running and has completed two 5ks. Ashley also stays busy with wedding planning and outfitting her and Greg’s new home.

Tracy grew up here in Coon Rapids, where she and her sisters shared an affinity for just about everything relating to nature and animals. Tending to her own family pets over the years made one thing very clear to her: she wanted to learn more so that she could help others’ four-legged friends as well!

Tracy attended Argosy University to receive her degree in veterinary technology, then secured her first job at an animal hospital shortly afterward. She would care for pets there for the next 12 years! In the spring of 2017, Tracy decided to look for a practice closer to her home in Brooklyn Park—she joined the Northbrook Animal Hospital family that April, and now helps the area’s pets every day as one of the clinic’s Certified Veterinary Technicians.

One of Tracy’s favorite parts of the job is performing thorough dental cleanings; she never tires of the before-and-after pictures! Tracy also likes passing on her knowledge of great pet care to new puppy and kitten owners.

Tracy and her fiancé, Matt, live with Tracy’s two young daughters: Anna loves sports, especially basketball, while Abby is passionate about biking and dancing. The family shares their lives with a rambunctious dog, Cedar, as well as a guinea pig named Twix who has perfected a high-pitched whistle to demand fresh vegetables.

Upon graduating, she started at Argosy University. After starting at Northbrook Animal Hospital in 2009, Rachel worked at another clinic briefly before being welcomed back by Dr. McMahon in 2012.

Rachel lives in Brooklyn Park with her tenacious pug, Ori. In her spare time, Rachel loves reading, watching movies, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and spending time with her high-school sweetheart, Matt.
